Hitachi’s cordless screwdriver has all the features you’d ever need.It pivots to be a barrel style or pistol-grip depending on the task at hand. And if you’re in the dark, there is an LED worklight. Plus, it has a torque clutch to keep you from stripping screws out of particle board cupboards or furniture. If we had a complaint, it would be that this Hitachi cordless screwdriver only has 2 speeds instead of a variable speed trigger.

Because of it’s extensive feature list, it makes it a great choice for a battery powered electric screwdriver, but of course, it’s one of the most expensive choices on our list. At the time of this article, the price was hovering around the $100 Canadian dollars mark. Some of the sting is taken out of the price because it comes with Hitachi’s longest-in-the-field lifetime warrant on the tool, and the industry standard 2 years on the battery.

It's a good value electric screwdriver, comfortable to use with very good battery life, and ideal for medium-duty projects. What they didn't like is that this cordless screwdriver has trouble holding smooth-shank bits (no problems with hex-shank bits).

It you're in a hurry, they recommend the Hitachi cordless screwdriver as the best option. It's small and lightweight, and comes with 2 batteries and a lifetime warranty!
