This is the newest version of Dell XPS 13 Canada! (you can tell by the display that has a very small border at the bottom, vs the larger black border and the DELL logo on the previous version).

It’s an upgrade in every way over the 2019 model, and even though it’s been out for a year, it’s still the most popular laptop in Canada right now.

Dell XPS 13 9380 vs XPS 13 9300 – 2019 vs 2020 model

Dell XPS 13 Canada - 9380 vs 9300

The differences between the 2019 and 2020 models of the XPS 13 start with what’s visible. The screen size has increased from 13.3 inches, to 13.4 inches.

While that isn’t a large change, the overall width of the machine got smaller. The slightly larger screen fills more of the overall ‘lid’ of the laptop, making it look huge! There is really no bezel at all around the screen – there is, but it’s tiny. Plus, the large bezel section at the bottom of the screen is almost completely gone.

The smaller bezel makes room for a larger display, and an increase in resolution for a clearer picture. The aspect ratio changed from 16:9 to 16:10, so it’s definitely an overall better viewing experience on the Dell XPS 13 Canada!

The keyboard has also been stretched to give more typing room. Now the keyboard reaches almost to the edges of the case. All the while, Dell has managed to still fit a fingerprint scanner, and keep the webcam on the XPS 13 laptop too!

On the inside, Dell has upgraded to use Intel 10th Gen Ice Lake processors that has higher-performance integrated graphics. It also comes with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity which helps make it future proof. The XPS 13 is also part of Intel’s Project Athena, which means it has been optimized for battery life, charging speed, and wake speed.
