Ethereum’s cofounder, Anthony Di Iorio, just bought the largest condo on record in Canada, and it’s almost the most expensive too.

Anthony purchased the 3-story penthouse for $28 million CDN and cashed out of some of his cryptocurrency to pay for it. “I don’t like being in debt” he said. “I decided to take a bunch out and put it in real estate.”

The penthouse is in downtown Toronto in the Adelaide Hotel.

The unit isn’t fully built out yet but is slated to include space for events that highlight Canadian tech and innovation.

Only 2 more condos in Canada have ever sold for more than this $28 million price – one a Four Seasons penthouse in Toronto that sold for $31 million, and another condo in Vancouver that once sold for $40 million.
